Discord ID to date (snowflake decoder)
Paste any Discord ID or message link to see when it was created, how old it is, and the matching timestamp code.
Every Discord ID (users, servers, channels, messages, roles) is a "snowflake" that has its creation time built in. Paste an ID or a message link to see exactly when it was created.
How it works #
A snowflake is a 64-bit number. Its top 42 bits are the milliseconds since January 1, 2015 (Discord's epoch), so (id >> 22) + 1420070400000 gives the creation time in milliseconds. The rest are internal worker, process and sequence numbers.
How to copy an ID #
Turn on Developer Mode in Discord (User Settings › Advanced), then right-click (or long-press) a user, server, channel or message and choose Copy ID. A message link has three IDs: server, channel and message.
Why check an account's age? #
Brand-new accounts joining in a burst are a common sign of a raid. If that's happening to your server, see the guide to stopping Discord raids. In discord.py the same date is discord.utils.snowflake_time(id).
