ESN SMP: a Java and Bedrock crossplay SMP you can join

The ESN SMP is a survival multiplayer server that Java and Bedrock players share. Here is the IP, the Bedrock port, how consoles join and what there is to do.

The ESN SMP is a public survival multiplayer (SMP) Minecraft server where Java Edition and Bedrock Edition players play in the same world. PC, phone and console players can all join. It's free to join and play.

How to join #

  1. Java: open Multiplayer, choose Add Server, type play.esnoffical.com and join.
  2. Bedrock on Windows, iPhone or Android: open Play, then Servers, then Add Server. Enter play.esnoffical.com and port 19132.
  3. Consoles: join the ESN Discord, copy the friend bot's gamertag from the console-join channel, add it as a friend, then join ESN SMP from the Friends tab.

How Java and Bedrock crossplay works #

Java and Bedrock are different versions of Minecraft that normally can't play together. The SMP runs Geyser and Floodgate, which translate between them, so Bedrock players join the Java server without a Java account. Want the same on your own server? See let Bedrock players join your Java server.

What is the ESN SMP server IP? #

play.esnoffical.com. Bedrock players use the same address with port 19132.

Can Bedrock players join the ESN SMP? #

Yes. Bedrock players on Windows, iPhone and Android add the server with port 19132. Console players join through the friend bot.

Can I join from Xbox, PlayStation or Switch? #

Yes. Add the ESN friend bot as a friend (its gamertag is in the console-join channel on the ESN Discord), then join ESN SMP from the Friends tab.

Is the ESN SMP free to play? #

Yes, joining and playing is free. The store is optional.

Do I need a Java account to play as a Bedrock player? #

No. Geyser and Floodgate let Bedrock players join with their Microsoft account.
