How to find and share your Minecraft server IP and port

2 min readUpdated Oct 31, 2026

Where your server address is in the panel, how to type it in Java and Bedrock, why the port matters, and how to fix "can't connect".

Your server's address has two parts: the IP (or a domain) and the port, written together as ip:port. Players need both unless the port is Minecraft's default.

Find it in the panel #

  1. Sign in at panel.esnoffical.com and open your server.
  2. Look at the top of the Console page: the address is shown as IP:port.
  3. The same address is on the Network page, which lists every port your server has.
  4. Copy the whole thing, including the colon and the port.

Join from Java #

Go to Multiplayer, then Add Server, and paste the full address, for example 203.0.113.10:25600. Java understands the port after the colon.

Join from Bedrock #

Bedrock has separate boxes. Go to Play, then Servers, then Add Server, type the IP in Server Address and the port in Port. Bedrock players can only join a Java server if Geyser is installed; see Bedrock crossplay. Geyser listens on its own port, so give Bedrock players that port.

Why you can't change the port #

Your server must use the port the panel gave it. Leave server-port in server.properties alone; if you change it, nobody can connect.

"Can't connect to server" #

  • Check the server is running and the Console shows Done.
  • Check the port was included and typed correctly.
  • If the whitelist is on, add the player with whitelist add Name.
  • Check the player's game version matches the server, or add a version plugin if you support several.
  • Check the status page, then ask in the ESN Discord.

Looking for a server to play on instead? The ESN SMP is at play.esnoffical.com: see the ESN SMP.

FAQ #

Where is my Minecraft server IP on ESN? #

At the top of your server's Console page in the panel and on its Network page, shown as IP:port.

Do I need to type the port? #

Yes, unless it is the default port. In Java, put it after a colon. In Bedrock, type it in the Port box.

Can I change my server port? #

No. Keep the port the panel assigned, or players won't be able to connect.

Why can't my friend connect? #

Usually the port is missing, the whitelist is on, the versions don't match, or the server isn't fully started.

Still stuck? Use the live chat on the panel or ask in the ESN Systems Discord. Last updated October 31, 2026.
