Discord embed builder

3 min readUpdated Nov 3, 2026

Build an embed with a live preview, then copy the JSON, discord.py or discord.js code, or send it to your own webhook.

Fill in the fields, watch the preview update, then copy the JSON for a webhook or the code for your bot. You can also send it straight to your own webhook: the request goes from your browser to Discord, and the webhook URL is never sent to us or saved.

Your webhook URL stays in this browser tab: it isn't stored or sent anywhere except to Discord. Anyone who has a webhook URL can post with it, so don't share it.

Embed limits to know #

  • Title 256 characters, description 4,096, up to 25 fields (name 256, value 1,024), footer 2,048, author name 256.
  • All text in one embed together can't pass 6,000 characters.
  • A message can carry up to 10 embeds.
  • Image and thumbnail URLs must be direct links to an image (ending in .png, .jpg, .gif or .webp works best).

How to make a webhook #

In Discord: Server Settings › Integrations › Webhooks › New Webhook, pick the channel, then Copy Webhook URL. You need the Manage Webhooks permission.

Want your bot online 24/7? Host it on ESN: bot hosting from $0.50/month, with a web console, file manager and SFTP. See plans · Hosting guide
