Join the ESN SMP from console (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch)
Play the ESN SMP from Xbox, PlayStation or Switch: add the ESN friend bot, then join from the Minecraft Friends tab. Plus the Java and Bedrock address.
The ESN SMP is a Java + Bedrock Minecraft server, so you can play it from a PC, a phone, or a console. Consoles can't type in a server address, so ESN runs a friend bot: add it as a friend and the SMP shows up in your Friends tab, ready to join.
1. Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch #
- Join the ESN Discord at discord.gg/RGPt3zEfGy and open the #console-join channel. It shows the friend bot's current gamertag and whether it's online right now. The name can change, so always copy it from there.
- Add the ESN friend bot as a friend on your Microsoft (Xbox) account. On Xbox, use Find someone. On PlayStation or Switch, open Minecraft, go to Play → Friends → Add Friend → Find Cross-Platform Friends and search the gamertag.
- The bot accepts friend requests on its own, usually within a minute.
- In Minecraft, go to Play → Friends. Under Joinable Friends you'll see ESN SMP. Choose it and press Join.
PlayStation and Switch players need a free Microsoft account signed in to Minecraft to use friends. The game asks you to sign in the first time you open the Friends tab.
2. Java and Bedrock (PC and phone) #
- Java Edition: Multiplayer → Add Server →
play.esnoffical.com - Bedrock Edition (Windows, iPhone, Android): Play → Servers → Add Server → address
play.esnoffical.com, port19132
3. If it doesn't work #
- ESN SMP isn't in your Friends tab: check that the bot accepted your request, then close and reopen Minecraft. Make sure #console-join says the bot is online.
- "Unable to connect to world": the server may be restarting. Check status.esnoffical.com and try again in a minute.
- Can't add friends: your console's privacy settings must allow friends and multiplayer. On Xbox, check Settings → Account → Privacy & online safety.
