Discord bot invite link generator

3 min readUpdated Nov 3, 2026

Paste your application ID, tick only the permissions your bot needs, and copy the invite link with the permissions number filled in.

Make the link that adds your bot to a server. Paste your application ID, tick the permissions the bot really needs, and copy the link. Asking for fewer permissions makes server owners more likely to add your bot.

Where to find the application ID #

Open the Discord Developer Portal, pick your app, and copy Application ID on the General Information page. It's not secret. Your bot token is: never put the token in a link or share it. New to this? Read how to create a bot, get its token and invite it and scopes and permissions explained.

Tips #

  • Leave out Administrator. Many server owners won't add a bot that asks for it, and if the bot's token leaks it can wreck the server.
  • Slash commands need the applications.commands scope. If they don't show up, see slash commands not showing.
  • You can add a default install link under Installation in the Developer Portal, so the "Add App" button on your bot's profile works too.
Want your bot online 24/7? Host it on ESN: bot hosting from $0.50/month, with a web console, file manager and SFTP. See plans · Hosting guide
