What the template does #

  • XP for chatting (15-25 per message by default) with an anti-spam cooldown.
  • Level-up messages, with your own text and an optional level-up channel.
  • /rank with level, rank and a progress bar, and /leaderboard with pages.
  • Role rewards at any level with /levelrole add, given automatically.
  • /setxp to adjust or reset anyone, and no-XP channels for spam or bot channels.

Set it up in 3 steps #

  1. Get the template. Buy the Leveling bot template ($4.99) at listings.esnoffical.com/templates. You can download the zip right away, and the link is emailed to you too.
  2. Get a bot plan. Pick a Discord bot plan on the plans page. Bot hosting starts at $0.50/month and your server is created right after checkout.
  3. Upload and start it. Unzip the template, copy .env.example to .env and paste your bot token (see how to create a bot and get its token). Upload the files in the panel's file manager or over SFTP, set the start file to bot.py and press Start. Setup steps are also in README.md inside the zip.

Which plan? #

Change it or bring your own code #

You get the full source code: plain, readable Python you can edit in the file manager or over SFTP. Your token stays in .env on your server only. Already have your own bot? Upload it and start it instead.

Do I need coding skills? #

No. Unzip the template, paste your bot token into .env, upload it to your bot server and press Start.

Can I change how fast people level up? #

Yes. XP per message and the cooldown are settings in .env.

Where is the XP saved? #

In a small SQLite file on your server, so levels survive restarts.

Will it stay online 24/7? #
